Haglof Increment Tree Borer

Borer

The Haglof Increment borer is used to extract cores of wood from trees or freshly treated poles, piling, lumber, or timbers to determine growth rate, age, tree soundness, and chemical penetration.

A Teflon coating protects the bit against rust and resin build-up and reduces friction.

A hardened rubber cap is forged with the extractor so it won’t come loose.

The price for some or all parts of the Increment borer ranges from $4.95-$1,035.

This can include replacement bits, replacement handles, different sized threaded bits, a whole new assembly and everything in between that may be needed for successful use of the borer.

Once I looked further than I personally knew about this product, I found that the Increment Borer can be very expensive. Therfore I have to give this product about a 4 out of 6.
